Frequently Asked Questions
What to know before sending a closing.
What is RON?
Remote Online Notarization lets eligible signers meet a notary by secure live video and sign electronically. See How RON Works.
Is RON the same as electronic notarization?
Electronic notarization uses electronic documents and signatures and may happen in person. RON also allows the signer to appear before the notary remotely by live video.
Where can the signer be located?
A Florida online notary must be physically in Florida. Signers may be elsewhere if the act and transaction qualify. Document acceptance and separate witness-location rules still apply.
What does the signer need?
An accepted ID, access to the invitation, and a supported device with a camera, microphone, and reliable internet. We provide preparation instructions.
How is identity verified?
Checks may include ID credential analysis and identity proofing. The method must meet applicable law and provider requirements; every signer does not necessarily use the same method.
Can international signers use RON?
Some can. Share the signer’s country and transaction type so we can review legal requirements, document acceptance, identity verification, and platform support.
Can non-English-speaking signers be accommodated?
Tell us the language needed. We review qualified notary availability and applicable communication requirements before confirming.
Are witnesses available?
We coordinate witnesses when required and available. Document type, witness eligibility, and location affect the arrangements.
What if the file cannot be completed remotely?
We can review an in-person mobile closing anywhere in the U.S., subject to local availability and transaction requirements.
Can I schedule before documents are ready?
Yes. Request a time now; final documents can follow through the approved secure workflow. The appointment is confirmed separately.
What if the signer fails identity verification?
The session cannot proceed until lawful identity requirements are met. We coordinate next steps, such as a permitted retry, rescheduling, or an in-person option.
How are completed documents returned?
RON documents follow the approved electronic return workflow. Mobile closings follow the agreed scanback and shipping instructions.
What counts as a rush order?
Short-notice requests depend on readiness and availability. Timing-related fees follow the agreed client fee schedule and are confirmed with your team.
Do you work directly with consumers?
Our primary clients are title companies and attorneys. Individual requests are reviewed case by case.
